The Glens Falls Symphony proudly announced today the appointment of new board member Tara Hutchins as part of their ambitious 5-year strategic plan in an effort to expand education, fiscal sustainability, broaden audiences, and develop human capital. The symphony successfully rolled out a multi-year education plan in 2022 that will continue into the upcoming 2026-27 Symphony season.
The 2026-27 Glens Falls Symphony season is sponsored by Gold Sponsor: Arrow Bank
Tara D. Hutchins is a Private Wealth Financial Consultant and Assistant Vice President at Wells Fargo Advisors in Albany, NY. Tara studied at St. Lawrence University and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Castleton University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in World Literature. Tara worked in public relations and the non-profit sector before transitioning to the financial services industry. She currently holds the FINRA Series 7, 63, and 66 registrations and is insurance licensed.
In 2022, Tara earned the title of Private Wealth Financial Consultant. In this role, Tara provides specialized services and resources to high-net-worth clients with complex, multi-generational needs. She assists her clients in developing sophisticated investment, estate planning, and wealth transfer strategies, as well as helping with retirement and business exit planning.
Tara is a native of Indian Lake, New York, and now lives in Saratoga Springs with her partner, Mark, and their two rescue dogs, Annie and Ruby. She has a deep love for the Adirondacks and the outdoors and enjoys running, hiking, biking, paddling, and winter sports. She also has a passion for food, cooking and entertaining.
Tara serves on the Board of Directors of Kelly’s Angels, Inc., and North Country Ministry.
Tara shares: “The Glens Falls Symphony is an extraordinary asset for the Glens Falls community and the surrounding area. It is incredibly rare for a city of this size to have a professional symphony, especially one of this caliber, and I am grateful and excited to be a part of such a dynamic and inspiring organization. As a North Country native, I am particularly impressed by the Symphony’s endeavors to reach out to and engage the young musicians in our Adirondack schools, showcase their talent, and make them a part of the Symphony experience. I look forward to supporting and promoting the Glens Falls Symphony’s spirit of positivity, conviviality, and inclusivity.”
