FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
February 9, 2026,
The Glens Falls Symphony’s 2026 Springtime Gala in Honor of Dr. Jacquiline Touba
The Glens Falls Symphony will host its Springtime Gala at the Lake George Club in Diamond Point on Sunday, June 7, 2026, beginning at 4:30 p.m. This year’s Gala will honor Dr. Jacquiline Touba in recognition of her work over several decades to build the Glens Falls region into the accomplished arts community we enjoy today. We are proud to be able to join you in honoring her legacy.
“I am honored to be chosen by the Glens Falls Symphony as their 2026 honoree. I have followed the orchestra’s growth from its early years to what it is today, and I am proud to be a supporter of such a wonderful, creative, and exceptional organization and its musicians. The effort to engage the next generation to bring the joy of music into their lives is essential. To have the symphony in our community has enriched young, old, and all those in between. I hope that you will join me in supporting the symphony and this event.” - Dr. Jacquiline Touba
This year’s Gala will feature a performance by Glens Falls Symphony Principal Bass Dr. Raymond Bohn, and a friend of the symphony, woodwind doubler Bennett Parsons, on saxophone. During the cocktail hour, guests will enjoy light piano music performed by CarolAnn Sussdorff. All funds raised through the Springtime Gala support the Orchestra’s education and community initiatives. Each year, these initiatives enrich the lives of over 14,000 individuals through student music education, friendly family experiences, and free festivals and performances that bring music to all corners of the Glens Falls region, into the Adirondack Park, and beyond!

About Glens Falls Symphony
The Glens Falls Symphony, founded as a community amateur orchestra in 1977, is now entering its fifth decade of music-making as a professional orchestra. Since Maestro Charles Peltz arrived in 2000, the fully professional Glens Falls Symphony has performed a dynamic repertoire, regularly including musical premieres and world-renowned guest artists.
The orchestra continues to expand its musical and educational offerings to include Children’s Concerts for up to 3,000 students in the 7-county region in Warren and Washington counties, plus in the southeastern Adirondacks. The orchestra served over 14,000 people in 2025, and the 41st season welcomed some of the largest concert audiences in its history. The musicians offer master classes, family concerts, summer pops programs, and more. Cited as “one of the great orchestras of our country” by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Joseph Schwantner, the orchestra comprises professional musicians who come from all over the Northeast and beyond to perform.
