Experience the magical sound of Celtic this holiday season!

Celebrate with YOUR Glens Falls Symphony as we welcome world-renowned Fiddler Liz Knowles, whose music seamlessly combines the fire of Irish fiddle traditions with the rich tonalities of classical violin.

With early acclaim as a performer in Riverdance and as a soloist on the Michael Collins soundtrack, Liz quickly established herself as a versatile and virtuoso musician. Over her career, she has performed as a soloist with orchestras like the New York Pops, played on Broadway in The Pirate Queen, and served as the Music Director and performer with Celtic Legends for over four years. Currently, she is a key member of the String Sisters and the Martin Hayes Quartet.

The Symphony also welcomes harmonies from Lake George High School Chorus, led by John Alecci, and the Queensbury High School Mixes Chorus, Concert Choir, and Madrigal Singers, led by Director Matt Gaulin, as they make merry in the hall!

The GFS is proud to partner this season with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks to support their holiday toy drive!

Each holiday season, BBBS collects donations of unwrapped toys for children all over the Southern Adirondack region. BBBS is a not-for-profit human services agency whose mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.

Since 1904, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that every child possesses incredible potential. As the nation’s largest donor- and volunteer-supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers ("Bigs") and children ("Littles"), ages 5 through young adulthood in communities across the country. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.

By partnering with parents/guardians, volunteers, and others in the community, BBBS is accountable for each child in its program achieving:

• Higher aspirations, greater confidence, and better relationships

• Avoidance of risky behaviors

• Educational success
