In the collaborative spirit of Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite, the Glens Falls Symphony will present a topical documentary film followed by a talk/panel discussion at The Hyde Collection on Wednesday, May 10th, 5:30pm in the Hyde’s Froehlich Auditorium. The esteemed panelists include Maestro Charles Peltz and Erin Coe, Director of the Hyde Collection, who will discuss the cultural and artistic background of Stravinsky’s Firebird.
To provide content and context to this very special event, a selection of 9 collotypes from the portfolio Edgar Degas: Vingt Dessins will be on view in the Rotunda Gallery during the week of May 8. These are reproductive prints of Degas drawings (including pastels) printed by Michel Manzi in collaboration with Degas.
A lovely Social Hour in the Hyde’s lobby space will follow the film and talk, to include light fare & beverages.
