Holiday Concert Brought Joy
The Glens Falls Symphony performed its annual Holiday Concert, “Holiday Stories”, on Sunday, December 17, 4pm, at Glens Falls High School Auditorium, Glens Falls, NY. Celebrating with a wide range of festive favorites, the concert featured performances by the Glens Falls Symphony Children’s Chorus. Chorus alumni from past years joined the Chorus for a couple pieces, revisiting their childhood and holiday memories. Entertainer and special guest Laura Roth added beautiful narrations of Twas the Night Before Christmas and other tales of the season.
The Glens Falls Symphony partnered with the WAIT House for the Holiday Concert, inviting concert-goers to bring donation items of non-perishable food items, food wrap/new kitchen items, or gift cards to local grocery stores to the concert. Wait House representatives were on hand to collect these most welcome donations for their residents. If you would still like to donate items, please see the list below.
WAIT House provides Emergency Shelter for Homeless Youth ages 16 up to 21 and Transitional Housing for Homeless Pregnant and Parenting Youth ages 16 up to 21. In addition WAIT House provides Permanent Housing Assistance for individuals and families of all ages, a Healthy Parenting and Mentoring Program funded by a member item from Senator Betty Little and a Street Outreach Program.
